Saas Fee

In winter, 25 ski lifts and the worlds highest underground funicular railway can transprot 26,000 people per hour to 140 km of prepared ski pistes between 1800m and 3600m above sea level. During winter the 13 blue ski runs, 14 red runs, 5 black and 3 unprepared offer a variety of ski-ing opportunities while the snowboarding facilities have made it one of Switzerland's top boarding destinations.

Saas Grund

The sunny skiing area of Hohsaas contains over 100 hectars of prepared pistes of various levels of difficulty totalling 35km. There is a Halfpipe for Snowboarders and a unique glacier piste over Triftgletscher. The pistes descend from 3200m at Hohsaas to 1560m in Saas Grund.

Cross country skiing

Haus Alfa is situated just 400m from the start of a 8km cross-country skiing circuit with a height gain of 154m. For a more challenging experience, the 26km Saas Valley cross country skiing circuit between Saas-Almagell and Saas-Balen is easily reached by public transport.

Winter walking trails

For non-skiing guests, The Hannig is a popular destination for winter walking. 20km of well prepared winter walking trails around the village invite visitors to see Saas Fee from a different angle. The paths to Melchboden and Saas Almagell invite you to a magical forest walk with the possibility of seeing beautiful Chamois, Deer, and other wildlife.

Tobogganing

The Hanning also offers a 5km toboggan run with sledges available to rent from the cable car station. Who said that sledging is only fun in the daytime? It would be a shame to just let the night pass by... For the more adventerous tobogganer there is the 11km run in Saas Grund - the longest toboggan course in Switzerland accessible by cable car.
